Recycling Process from Waste Bottles to Cloth:

Post Consumed Bottle → Bale Breaker → Label Removing → Crushing → Washing & Shifting → Clean Flakes → Dehydrating & Drying → Polymerization → PET → Yarn → Finished Cloths

“Recycled polyester is almost the same as virgin polyester in terms of quality, but its production requires 59 percent less energy compared to virgin polyester” according to a 2017 study by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment.

Advantage:

  • Made from recycled PET bottles, does not require petrochemical raw materials.
  • Saves natural resources and reduces the burden on the environment.

Disadvantage:

  • The risk with recycled polyester is that often PET water bottles contain chemicals that could be harmful for your skin. PET bottles can contain a leach 'antimony' which is a toxic substance that has been linked to cancer.
